Then there was this other story I came across is about this gorgeous Bull Mastiff who was BURIED ALIVE. Luckily, a neighbor heard him and found him with just barely a hole to breath. Who knows how long he was down there! Evil! To dig a hole deep enough for a 125 lb. Bull-Mastiff is premeditated, cruel, and criminal.
What I don't understand is that if these dogs were unwanted, at least give them a chance. Put the puppies in a box in front of the grocery store or fire station where they'll be found. This also goes for young teenage mothers. I get that you're scared and ashamed, but put the baby where it can be found for Godsake!
Back to animal cruelty, as an addict of Animal Precinct, I see what happens to people that actually get prosecuted for these inhumanities. Generally it's slaps on the wrist. I think these people should suffer the same torture. Eye for an Eye. Let's bury the bastards!

This is so sad. :-( I saw the tail end of this story on the news the other night, but didn't hear the full story until reading your post.
I get so upset when I see those stories. I just don't understand how anyone could do that. The story that hit me the hardest over the years was the one about the kitten on the BBQ. It happened back in 2002, so no news articles are available online anymore, but people have posted about it.

I also cannot understand why people hurt animals, or children. However, from a psychological perspective, there is a correlation about harm to animals and doing harm to people. It is always something I look for in assessments.
I reckon turn the animal harmers over to a judge and jury of wild animals for decision and punishment!

I think they are serial killers in training. They aren't bold enough yet to do in a human so they start with animals. I live in Jackson, Ms. When Luke Woodham shot up the Pearl High School everyone acted shocked. They should not have been. His first move was to horribly torture his little dog to death by putting gas down her throat and lighting her on fire. The lesson from all this should be to make animal cruelty a felony, it would save human and animal lives.
