It's My Birthday & I Can Gloat if I Want 2
I started the day with this:
First Awww....
CG then went to drop off a check at the {finger quotes} bank.{finger quotes} He took PB and was gone for a long time. He said he ate lunch while out. I thought, well, thanks there buck-a-roo for bringing some back for me and da boys. You know, there is this thing called sibling rivalry and it might just be an important day like MY BIRTHDAY. Well, it turns out that was a ruse to drive 30 minutes away to a special cupcake shop for...you guessed it...cupcakes for my birthday. T-T-T-T-Trick-ayyyy! Second awwwww....
Before we left for dinner, he presented me with his first gift. This might be possible the best gift ever. It is super cool, but more than that it showed the love and thought he put it to this. Here was gift #1:
Isn't it cool? Have you ever seen the more perfect tampon holder? How did he know I would be feelin' menstru-riffic on my birthday?
So prepared my Eagle Scout husband is. He knows I love stainless steel and pin ups and he said he particularly searched for a red head one...because I am a red head...but the best part is the fact is I am married to a man that thinks nothing of shopping for the perfect tampon holder. He also never minds picking up girlie products at the store. An enlightened man. He rocks!
So, at dinner, I discovered they have fruit cobbler. I heart fruit cobbler with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. CG, even knowing he had cupcakes at home, had them bring a candle-lit cobbler to the table. He even remembered I hate attention, so no singing. Just simple enjoyment. We all grabbed a spoon and shared. We might have even ordered a cheesecake too. Really I didn't know there were cupcakes at home.
At home, there were more presents. Can I say again that CG got this right--sooo right. I have to admit I had made hints, but he'd been so blase when I made the hints around Mother's Day that I thought, guess not. So I got this:

Isn't it splendourific? I have been using CG's camera for a while because I broke the battery case on my little digital camera. It's hard to take pics with a a steady hand and hold the batteries in. So now, I have a real, honest to God camera. I also have cool accessories for easy downloading. He even remembered a bitching memory card and we'll shop soon for a case. He knows I'm picky about that.
So the camera: It rocks. I love the clickety-click sounds it makes when it takes pictures. I think every girl likes that sound because it is a blast from the past of what you think modeling will be like at age eleven.
So, expect soon, lots better pictures. I am thinking I would even like to take a class. Any amateur photographers out there who want to give me hints? They would be much welcomed.

6 Witty Comments For Me:
I'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed your gifts.
We really did go to the bank with checks to deposit. The rest was just a clever ruse.
I hope you can get into that clickety-click and be a model mode - that would be really cool.
Be careful asking for amateur photographer suggestions; with all the foot fetish and pinup girl key words, I bet you'll get some suggestive suggestions!
Happy Birthday! Nice presents. I hope to get the same or similar for my 1 year anniversary next month (the camera and maybe the cupcakes).
Happy Birthday!!!
What wonderful presents! I actually love the tampon thing, lol!
OOH! Look at me with my fancy SLR and tampon holder to make all others green with envy.
Really, I'm not jealous.
Really.
What a wonderful day. Happy Birthday!
Ooh, nice! I've got the older version of the EOS Rebel, and it's a great camera - you're sure to have a blast with it :)
