Knock on Cherry Wood
So I've heard of the snowcasms, snowicanes, and snowbominations of this past winter all over the nation.
I've heard of Atlanta becoming the snow capital of the south.
I've heard from my mom of the freezing cold and torrential downpours in California.
And I think...
Haha! Wheeee! It's about time.
You see, it seems we stole California's weather up here in Seattle and they have our wet, dark and drearies there.
I want to feel sorry for them, but then I see that my bulb garden is already starting to burst from the warm earth.
To that I wiggle my butt and stick out my tongue and say, "I love you global warming and El Nino because you make my front yard look glorious in the winter. "

If it starts snowing here in the near future I am totally coming to find you :)
Hasn't it been glorious!? I love it here this winter!
So, umm, we had snow flurries here in Georgia last night. And there's nary a bloom except a few Hibiscus here and there.
*Jealous*
Oh thanks a bunch for jinxing it for us...Good old El Nino almost halted our Olympic events up on Cypress mountain. Who ever heard of trucking in snow to a mountain? Jeesh.
My crocuses have been blooming away, the forsythia is almost done. My hellebores are in full bloom too. I love it here.
Dude, you're rotten.
Sitting here in Ohio... freezing my arse off.
So NOT FAIR! We had flurries again last night. Can't wait for spring to arrive so that my cherry tree can bloom!
BTW your front yard is GORGEOUS!
I am right there with you! I planted my peas and lettuce in the garden on monday. *happy dance*
Aww...it seems tat I'm a lil lucky person, as the weather up here in India is going somewhere between winter & summer! Its the best season to roam around...cheers!
I think all of us around the PNW need to be knocking on wood. I am very excited that we seem to be hitting spring early. That means I get to start whipping my yard into shape earlier!
Of course, this probably means that we are going to have an absolutely abysmal summer...I hate the heat.
It's soooooo not nice to brag. ):
But trucking in snow for the Winter Olympics? Too weird....
Lets just hope I can get my Hubby to get the lawn mowed before our Seattle weather comes back, fingers crossed for a great summer!!
Wow. Still cold here in Wisconsin.
great pics. I wouldn't have believed you but for the proof.
We have a happy light going all morning these days. I believe in Seasonal Affective Disorder, SAD, now.
umm...scarce a week later...did i not catch a tweet from your hubby saying "yea it snowed!" either he's planning a trip to the mountains or you really jinxed your budding flowers. :D send back the sun!
