Heading Out on The Highway: Harley Davidson Summer Camp in T Minus 5 Hours
It's a 11:06 PM. I need to get up in less than five hours. Why?
Nope, not another swim meet. Nope, nope, noppity, nope.

Swim Meet Day #: This is how we roll
Those were Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and today. Well and tomorrow and the next three days after that, but guess what? I'm sooooo not going.
I am leaving. On presumably a jet plane. Don't know when I'll be back again...
Ok, not entirely true. My itinerary says I'll be back after spa treatment, fun social media events, baseball game, crazy dining, and yes...riding on HARLEY-DAVIDSONS on Wednesday.
Ummm, that's if my husband has not gone insane-- taking the kids to requisite practices, 4 days straight of swim meets, driver's training for kid #1, and much, much more while he attempts to work from home--and actually forgives picks me up at the airport. Hehehe.

Boots? check! Sparkly Flip Flops? Double check!!
Regardless, my sparkly flip flops and sassy biker boots are crammed into my presumably small carry on, so there's no going back without an exploding, overloaded suitcase full of sundresses, maxi dresses, and jeans which I hope will make me look like one tough biker babe....right-o!
I say good luck to CG. As you can often see from the often infrequent posts here at USM during the summer, it's a full time job being a swim and football mom of three kiddos. Add the teen angst and current state of disaster in my house-- and I'm not sure poor CG won't implode.

I know you can do it, sweetheart!! Just keep smiling...
Note: If you do honey, please don't forget to feed the dog, cat, and fish first, m'kay? And the lawn needs mowing. And there's a bunch of laundry and dishes I left in sink. And your daughter needs a gynecologist follow up appointment. Double Heh!
Our first baby step was CG taking the kiddos, after our final cross-fit class, to the swim meet...alone! Gulp! They all survived while I packed, actually took the time for a mani-pedi, and did loads of laundry built up over the past month. Well baby girl did manage to fall down the stairs in the stands--almost breaking her neck--but she also came in 2nd in the 400 LCM Free and 100 LCM Back so I'd call that a success. And if he brought them home at 9 PM without having eaten dinner. Well, I say that makes them tough!

These French manicures never last at home, but that ring abides, my love
People? Come hell or high water, I feel freedom coming for the next four days. I'm loving this. Girls camp for me! Squee! With motorcycles, cocktails, and a Conde Nast rated #10 hotel. Yep, this is going to be one difficult business trip. Such a burden!
Yes, me. Swim Mom. Seattle Blogger. Scout's Honor. Heather Murphy-Raines. Yes me!! I'm going to Milwaukee to learn how to ride and I am so freaking excited!! Whee!!!

I'll be sure to tweet it, honey so you know what drudgery it is!
Muah!
Follow my trip at @Scoutshonor with hashtag #hdsc . Many thank to Harley Davidson for flying me out to Milwaukee and bankrolling my camp. I am one lucky girl and you are one awesome brand! Disclosure: Harley-Davidson is paying for my travel expenses, and BlogHer is compensating me to write about my experiences.
