United States of Motherhood: Indivisible

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

Just attended the packed Veterans Day assembly at kid #3's school.  Then we had a receiving line where my husband, a dozen or so other veteran family members, and I shook hands with 400+ students, teachers, and parents.  I haven't shook firmly that many hands in...well ever.

It was a honor and a privilege to stand in a line of multiple services and generations to be thanked for our service.  I love Washington. I love the United States. This is yet another reminder to me that no matter the election, we need to be one nation, indivisible, for the struggles ahead and I would and still will fight for this nation still today with my dying breath.

Bless America!
